Once you have read the hand book completely, you can come here to start working on the character. Here you will find the template that you are to use to make your character, all of the claims that you will need to fill out, as well as the sub-board in which you are to post your application once you have completed it. We would also prefer that you not post incomplete applications unless you absolutely need to. It spams the pretty board. And please, don't forget to post on all the claims. I don't want to have to go around asking people who they're using for their pb claim because they didn't post on the face claim board. So please don't make me do that. Post on the claims once you're accepted, and it'll all be fine.

This is where applications go once their makers have endured the merciless judgement that they were doomed to experience from the second they decided to join a site administrated by Jac. If you find your character here, the first thing you need to do is go and post on all of the claims, because if you don't, Jac will eat you. Once you do that, you can make a relationship map, photo album, cell phone, and any of the other optional additions to help characters connect, and then you can start role playing. Finally. Hooray.

This is the board where you can go to talk about anything that doesn't involve role playing, and anything that involves role playing indirectly. We ask that you not spend all of your time here, as the purpose of this forum really is to role play, not chat. Although you're welcome to do so some of the time. But if Jac sees that you're only ever in the OOC board, and not role playing anywhere, she will be very mean to you. And you don't want that.

When a board dies or is finished, it is moved here for safe-keeping. If you want one of these boards back, send Jac a nice little PM saying so, and she'll move it to wherever you want it moved to. This is also where the applications of denied or inactive characters are kept. If you want your inactive character returned to you, send Jac a PM telling her why you were inactive and why we should believe you're not going to be inactive again if we revive your character.

And... we're back in high school. It would seem that some of the students here at New York University never grew out of the habit of graffiti-ing truths and lies about their fellow students and teachers and neighbours on walls all over campus. Too bad they rarely leave their names, or there could be some serious ass-kicking going on.

Keep a journal or diary of your thoughts, fears, secrets, and everything that's going on in your life. Just make sure there's nothing in there that you'd be too mortified if people found out. After all, you do have a roommate who could find this. And who knows who else might be going through your things.

It's good to know at least one thing hasn't changed very much since high school. Either you make your own meals or you eat whatever they serve you in the cafeteria, and there's no guarantee it'll be very good. At least NYU has a pretty good reputation for its food services. There probably won't be much mystery meat on the menu, but if you're looking for five-star cuisine, you'd best stay home for lunch.

So, little man, you ever play college ball? It's rough and harsh and long and cruel, but if you can get through it, you'll be well on your way to a career. New York University offers varsity football (and cheerleading, of course), soccer, track and field, baseball, and all sorts of other sports you might like to take part in, a strong, young student like yourself. Interested?

If you don't want to be on the swimming or diving teams, you can come by to keep in shape for whatever else you might want to do. Just make sure there isn't a practice going on when you stop by- that would just be embarassing.
